Senator Rick Scott joined The Ryan Gorman Show this morning to talk about the federal budget, Alligator Alcatraz, and the Epstein files.
He discussed his plan to balance the budget by going “line by line,” and said it can be done without affecting Social Security or Medicaid.
Regarding Alligator Alcatraz, he explained that Congress wasn’t involved in setting it up and didn’t have much more to add.
When asked about Pam Bondi's handling of the Epstein files, here's what he had to say:
Ryan Gorman: The Epstein files. They've been a big topic of conversation over the past week. Are you satisfied with how the Trump administration has handled all of that, or do you want to see more transparency?
Senator Scott: Actually, everybody wants to know all the juicy details. I trust Pam Bondi. I trust Trump. You know, Pam was the Attorney General when I was governor. She's, you know, she's transparent. So I trust her. So I'm very comfortable that they're doing what they should be doing."
Ryan Gorman: Let me ask you one quick follow-up. Do you think she made a mistake in kind of overpromising things?
Senator Scott: You know, I don't know exactly what she said at that point. I know there's an article that said she overpromised something, but let's remember this. You know, the Biden administration, the Obama administration, weaponized the federal government, and they, you know, what Pam's trying to do is make sure it's not weaponized anymore. She's going to do the right thing.
