ABC Suspends Terry Moran Over Stephen Miller Post
June 8, 2025 — ABC News has suspended senior national correspondent Terry Moran following a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he described Trump aide Stephen Miller as a “world-class hater.” The post, which was deleted shortly after being published, also criticized former President Trump in similar terms.
ABC News confirmed the suspension, stating that Moran’s comments violated the network’s standards of objectivity and impartiality. “The post does not reflect the views of ABC News,” a spokesperson said. “Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation.”
The incident has sparked backlash from conservative figures, including Vice President J.D. Vance and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who called the remarks “unhinged” and “unacceptable.” The controversy comes just weeks after Moran conducted a high-profile interview with Trump marking his first 100 days back in office.
