Boat Collides with Ferry in Clearwater, Florida: One Dead, Several Injured
Clearwater, FL – A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday night when a boat collided with the Clearwater Ferry, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The crash occurred just off the Memorial Causeway bridge around 8:30 p.m., as the ferry was carrying over 40 passengers.
The boat, which struck the ferry, fled the scene immediately after the crash. Authorities have since identified and located the vessel. The Clearwater Police Department, along with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, are investigating.
