Abercrombie Deletes Ad After It Ignited Debate Over 'Normalizing' Obesity

Abercrombie & Fitch has deleted an ad after the ad, which featured a plus-sized woman, sparked some fury online, saying that the company was "normalizing" obesity.

The company shared the photo on their Instagram page late last week, and the post went viral over the weekend, with Twitter on people having a ton of negative responses.

One user who goes by @Morgonnm on Twitter compared Abercombie ads from the past to their ads now and said, "Why are we normalizing obesity. Why don't we normalize fitness & health. Obesity ain't it."

Not everyone disliked the image, though, with some celebrating that the company was making clothes for people who are obese. Since going viral and facing backlash, the ad is no longer seen on Abercombie's Instagram.
