The 18-year-old gunman who police say killed 19 students at a Texas Elementary School on Tuesday reportedly messaged a woman on Instagram about his plans beforehand.
The account belonging to the gunman showed several photos of rifles and high-capacity weapons before being taken down. He had also apparently messaged a woman he'd previously tagged in some gun photos, some very cryptic messages at 9:16 am on Tuesday. The woman is choosing not to be identified and says she does not know the gunman, nor does she live in Texas.
According to Mediate, Monday night, the account initiated another conversation with the woman, stating:
"I'll text you in a hour… But you HAVE TO RESPOND… I got a lil secret… I wanna tell u"
The woman responded she might be asleep, as she was not feeling well.
At 9:16 am Tuesday morning, the account texted the woman: "Ima air out."
She responded later in the afternoon and never heard back from the account.
