Man Wearing Gun Arrested Outside Disney World With White Powder in Pocket

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies placed a man under arrest who was not only attempting to wear a gun around his neck while going through security at Magic Kingdom but also ingested a white powdery substance as the deputies tried to stop him.

According to WDW News Today, Quincy Campbell, 33, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, destruction of evidence, and possession of cannabis, according to Orange Circuit Court records.

When being stopped for wearing the firearm, deputies say the man took a white substance from his pocket and hurled the contents into his mouth as deputies tried to stop him.

Campbell had gone through a bag check on March 19 when Disney Security realized he had a gun in a black bag around his neck. He told deputies he was holding onto the weapon for his sister, who has a concealed weapons license. Campbell, an ex-felon, did not have a gun permit himself, he told deputies.

With one arm already being held by a deputy, Campbell used his other arm to grab the substance in his pocket, and although deputies worked to stop him, he successfully swallowed it. Campbell claims he was chewing bubblegum. He was then taken to the hospital to ensure he was okay and transported to jail.
