A 7-year-old reportedly fell through a safety bar on Saturday evening on the gondola ride at the Florida State Fair, falling to the grassy area below.
According to deputies, three children, all under the age of 10, were riding the ride when the 7-year-old slipped through the bars. The girl was quickly taken to a local hospital, where she may have potentially broken her wrist. She is expected to recover.
The gondola ride, which is permanently stationed at the state fairgrounds, was temporarily shut down but is back open now during regular fair hours.
The incident has been ruled an accident.
