When you need beef, you need beef, even if you can't pay for it. A man in NYC was caught on surveillance video in Trader Joe's walking out with a total of 10 packages of meat piled up in his arms.
The video on New York Post shows the man walking out with the packages and employees following him to the escalator, where they could only stop him from taking only the shopping basket.
An employee of the store anonymously told The Post that they are instructed to let people go in instances like that and not to intervene.
According to the article, a photographer of Post also stopped the man to ask him why he was stealing the meat, where the steak stealer claimed he was homeless and hungry. This was after he claimed to have already paid for the items. Why did he steal the meat? We may never know. The incident is currently under investigation by NYPD.
