A Florida teacher resigned earlier this week after the Franklin County Sheriff's Department released videos of her explicit video chats with an inmate at the local prison.
52-year-old Donna Barber is seen removing some of her clothing during video chats with inmate Lawrence Ray. Some of the online conversations took place while she was in her office at a Franklin County school.
Sheriff A.J. Smith said he released the videos because he believes people should know what kind of people are teaching their children. Some of the explicit conversations took place during the school day.
The teacher was informed that she would most likely be let go, so she resigned.
While many parents agreed with the school department's decision to take action against the teacher, others thought the decision was harsh considering she had been an employee in good standing for many years and was close to retirement.
