Tropical Depression Cristobal is picking up speed and strengthening as it moves across eastern Mexico and it's expected to pound the U.S. Gulf Coast this weekend.
Forecasters predict it will again be a tropical storm when it hits the Gulf Coast with fierce winds, flooding rain, high surf, storm surge and coastal flooding. Cristobal's winds are forecast to blow at 50 miles an hour when it makes landfall early Monday morning, mostly like along the Louisiana coast. The National Weather Service is already putting out flood watches from Louisiana to Florida.
