The Tampa Bay Rays (11-7) defeated the Chicago White Sox (6-13) 5-3 on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Rays have swept the White Sox and now have won six straight games.
The Rays got a RBI single from Taylor Walls in the fourth and an RBI single from Richie Palacios in the seventh inning. Trailing 3-2 going into the ninth inning, Junior Caminero hit a solo homer to tie the game. Later in the ninth, the White Sox surrendered back-to-back bases loaded walks and the Rays came away with a 5-3 win.
The Rays now head to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates for a three-game series which begins on Friday evening. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6:45 PM Friday - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting Inside Pitch at 5:30 PM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
