The Tampa Bay Rays (69-69) beat the Seattle Mariners (73-66) 6-4 on Tuesday night at Steinbrenner Field. With the win, the Rays are back at .500 on the season and have won their last five straight games.
Junior Caminero went 3-for-4 with a home run and four runs driven in to power the Rays offense. He now has 40 home runs and 100 runs driven in on the season.
Drew Rasmussen got the start and allowed three runs - all of them earned - on four hits in five innings of work while striking out two and walking none. Kevin Kelly (1-3, 5.65) got the win out of the bullpen - Garrett Cleavinger retired all three batters he faced in the ninth to get his second save of the season.
The Rays will now look to sweep the Mariners when they meet in the series finale on Wednesday night. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 6:40 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting Inside Pitch at 6:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
