Rays Walk Off Astros To Even Series

The Tampa Bay Rays (22-26) defeated the Houston Astros (25-23) 3-2 on Tuesday night at Steinbrenner Field to even the three-game series at one-game apiece.

The Astros took an early 2-0 lead thanks to a Jake Meyers RBI double in the second and a solo homer from former Ray Isaac Parades in the third.

The score would remain 2-0 until the eighth inning, when Jonathan Aranda had a two-run single to tie the game. Then in the ninth inning, the Rays got the win thanks to a sacrifice fly from Taylor Walls.

Zack Littell got the start and allowed two earned runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking one. Manny Rodriguez got the win out of the bullpen after working a scoreless ninth inning.

The Rays and Astros now meet in the rubber game of the series on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 1:10 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at high noon on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
