The Boston Red Sox (10-10) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (8-10) 1-0 on Wednesday night at Steinbrenner Field. With the win, the Red Sox took the three-game series 2-1.
The only offense came from a solo home run from David Hamilton in the top of the third inning. The Rays offense was unable to provide any run support for Zack Littell (0-4, 5.48), who allowed just one earned run on five hits in six innings of work while striking out five and walking three.
