Rangers Shut Down Rays Again

The Tampa Bay Rays (5-7) fell to the Texas Rangers (5-7) 5-1 on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field.

The Rangers got a 1-0 lead in the second inning thanks to a home run from former Ray Nate Lowe. That would be the lead for much of the game, until the Rangers used a four run seventh inning to take control of the game. Brandon Lowe homered in the bottom of the ninth, which would keep the Rays from being shut out.

The Rays now look to salvage a series split against the Rangers on Thursday night at the Trop. First pitch Thursday is scheduled for 7:10 - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher and the Inside Pitch at 6 on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
