As the popularity of artificial intelligence increases, Florida is creating an A.I. Bill of Rights. Governor Ron DeSantis says it will also ensure your name, image and likeness are protected so no computer can put words in your mouth and profit from it. It will also ensure you are safe from data breaches and deep fakes. The bill will protect residents from unfair claims practices by ensuring a human reviews them and will mandate attorneys disclose when they're using A.I. in legal briefs. It will also serve to protect children. Orlando mom Megan Garcia is suing Character.AI. after her 14-year-old son shot himself in the head months after talking to the bot she claims groomed her son. She's suing for negligence, wrongful death and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
