North Miami Beach, FL - A family in North Miami Beach reported that a man in a red vehicle allegedly entered their front yard and took several Christmas decorations in a daytime incident now under investigation by police.
According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, the theft happened Tuesday morning near Northeast 180th Street and 16th Avenue.
Surveillance video from the home shows a red car stopping in front of the property before a man exited the vehicle and allegedly removed multiple holiday inflatables.
The vehicle displayed a Florida license plate consistent with N4ERRJ, which matches information included in the police report.
The mother, who had just returned home from Walmart and was holding her infant at the time, said she did not want to be identified.
She described the incident as concerning for her family. A grandmother and several children were inside the home when the theft occurred.
Police said the suspect allegedly drove onto the lawn and took four Christmas inflatables, including a large Christmas tree decoration and a Minnie Mouse figure.
Investigators confirmed they are reviewing footage provided by the family and canvassing the area for additional information.
North Miami Beach detectives have asked for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect or providing any relevant tips. Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is accepting anonymous information from residents who may recognize the vehicle or suspect involved.
Authorities stated that any information, no matter how small, could help advance the investigation as they continue working to determine the suspect's identity and locate the stolen decorations.
