The Villages, FL - A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly shoving a 73-year-old attendee during a vigil held for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot last week in Utah.

The incident took place Sunday at a remembrance event organized by The Villages MAGA Club at a medical center in Lake Sumter Landing.

According to the arrest report, 56-year-old Courtney Beth Anderson attended the vigil and was reportedly "yelling and holding up her middle finger to everyone at the event."

Event organizers asked Anderson to leave after her disruptive behavior.

Moments later, Anderson allegedly pushed the person who confronted her, causing the victim to fall and strike her head on the ground.

Fire Rescue personnel evaluated the victim, who declined transport to a hospital.

Multiple witnesses described the shove as unprovoked.

Anderson declined to speak with police and requested an attorney.

She was arrested and booked on a felony charge of battery on a person 65 years of age or older and later released on bond.

Police reports note that Anderson has two prior misdemeanor battery convictions from June 2001.

Valerie Jamieson, co-founder of The Villages MAGA Club, confirmed to FOX 35 that she was the victim. "I walked towards her and said, 'you're not coming up here, you need to get out of here,' and she just pushed me like that. I fell back, and my head hit the concrete," Jamieson said. "I was so angry."

Authorities have scheduled Anderson to appear in court on Friday.

Police continue to investigate the incident to ensure all aspects of the event are documented.
