Orlando, FL - A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly making a bomb threat to the University of Central Florida while intoxicated.
Authorities say 29-year-old Kristin Galli allegedly called UCF’s Student Care Services on May 22 and stated, “I'm gonna [expletive] blow you guys up,” before hanging up.
Attempts by staff to call her back were unsuccessful.
Investigators identified Galli using her phone number and voicemail, which were linked to UCF student records.
During the investigation, officials also determined that she allegedly sent more than 200 incoherent text messages to a UCF professor from the same number.
The messages reportedly included photos of Galli and were flagged by the professor.
On May 23, police questioned Galli regarding the phone call.
She allegedly admitted to making the threat, stating that she was angry, thought it would be funny, and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Galli now faces charges of false reporting of a bombing on a state-owned property and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Authorities confirmed no explosives were found and no injuries occurred as a result of the alleged threat.
Galli is scheduled to appear in court on August 21st.
Law enforcement emphasized that threats against public institutions, even if allegedly made while intoxicated, are treated as serious criminal offenses.
