FLORIDA - JetBlue Airways is expanding its Florida service this winter, adding its first flights to Vero Beach and resuming service to Daytona Beach after nearly seven years.

Starting in December, daily flights will operate from Boston Logan International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to both destinations.

Tickets are now available for booking on the airline’s website.

The airline is also increasing seasonal service from Long Island’s MacArthur Airport, adding flights to Tampa and Fort Myers from mid-December through the end of April. This expansion is part of JetBlue’s broader effort to provide more travel options to Florida during the winter season.

In addition to domestic flights, JetBlue is expanding international routes from Florida. Tampa will offer daily flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, while Fort Lauderdale will provide seasonal service to Santiago de los Caballeros.

Boston travelers will see new daily service to St. Thomas, Liberia in Costa Rica, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas. JetBlue will also add a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman and Bridgetown, Barbados.

JetBlue last operated daily flights from JFK to Daytona Beach in January 2019 before suspending the route to support new city and multi-route expansions.

Earlier this year, CEO Joanna Geraghty noted in an internal memo that the airline is “unlikely” to reach a break-even operating margin in fiscal 2025, following several years of financial strain. Geraghty said bookings are expected to rebound, but a full return to profitability may take longer than planned.
