Florida gets the dubious distinction as being home to four of the coolest housing markets nationwide in Bankrate's new Housing Heat Index study. Analyst Alex Gailey say Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, North Port and Tampa are all suffering from post-COVID slides. She says that led to sky rocking prices on top of mortgage rates between six-and-seven percent, giving Florida the one-two punch it did not need. The good news, this is not a crash, but rather a recorrecting of inflated pandemic numbers.
