Florida's Education Commissioner has scored a new job.
The University of West Florida's Board of Trustees has voted to name Manny Diaz, Jr. as the school's interim president.
His appointment will take effect on July 14th.
Prior to the vote on Diaz, the Board voted to accept the resignation of the university's president Martha Saunders.
Diaz had said last week that he would be open to being interim leader.
