Miami Beach, FL - A boating accident in North Miami Beach sent multiple people, including children, into the water on Saturday after a vessel allegedly lost control and flipped.
One person was hospitalized, but no serious injuries were reported.
The crash occurred near Northeast 35th Avenue and 181st Street in the Eastern Shores community.
Video captured by nearby residents shows the speeding boat collide with another vessel before launching into the air and capsizing.
Bram Fiebelkorn, who lives nearby, said he was sitting in his hot tub when he noticed the boat moving dangerously fast.
"I saw a boat start zig-zagging quickly," he told NBC Miami. "It was absolutely crazy."
Fiebelkorn and several neighbors rushed into the water to assist the victims.
"Kids were on board, a mother and father, and everyone was ejected," he said.
"I even went under the boat to make sure no one was trapped."
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, all passengers were accounted for, and one adult was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officials have not disclosed the extent of their injuries.
Neighbors said they were grateful to have been nearby to help.
"If I were in that situation, I would hope someone would do the same for me," Fiebelkorn said.
"Thankfully, everyone survived and the kids are OK."
Authorities have not released details on what caused the crash or how many people were on board.
The boat operator allegedly lost control, but the incident remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
