Two Found Dead in Dania Beach Apartment Complex; Investigation Underway​

Dania Beach, FL - Authorities are investigating a suspicious incident that resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman at a Dania Beach apartment complex.​

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), deputies responded to reports of a suspicious situation at the Elevate Apartments, located in the 600 block of East Dania Beach Boulevard, around 1:45 a.m. on Monday. ​

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased woman at the scene.

A man was also found and transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The identities of the deceased have not been released, and their relationship to each other remains unclear.

Residents reported hearing unusual noises during the early morning hours.

Santiago Moreno, a tenant, recounted hearing two loud sounds resembling gunfire, prompting him to barricade his door with a sofa for safety.

Another resident, Cicely Williams, described the scene on the eighth floor as a "blood bath," noting blood traces leading from an apartment door down the hallway and near the elevator.

BSO's Crime Scene and Homicide Units are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities have stated that there is no immediate threat to the community.

Residents, however, remain concerned about their safety.

Avy Vengal, who resides in the building, expressed uncertainty and disturbance over the situation, questioning the safety of her living environment.
