Broward Sheriff Homicide detectives have arrested a murder suspect connected to a shooting death two years ago.

BSO says, 25-year-old Carl Taylor is charged with first degree murder in the death of Nathaniel Ursery.

The victim languished in critical condition for 23 days before succumbing to the single bullet wound to his neck, according to BSO.

Homicide detectives finally identified Taylor as the shooter and members of BSO's V.I.P.E.R. unit took him into custody last Friday.

“Through investigative methods, detectives identified Taylor as the shooter, and a warrant was issued for his arrest,” St. Louis wrote in a news release. “Investigators with BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. (Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response) unit took Taylor into custody on Friday, Feb. 21.”

Taylor faces one count of first-degree murder with a firearm.

As of Tuesday, he was being held at the Broward Main Jail without bond.
