Miami, FL - A Miami man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly committing violent attacks against two women at a North Miami Beach massage parlor in September.
The incident occurred on September 16th, 2024, at a business called Asian Massage.
According to police, 25-year-old Didier Emmanuel Gamble entered the establishment and inquired about the cost of a massage.
After being informed of the price, Gamble followed an employee into a massage room.
Once inside, Gamble reportedly pulled out a box cutter and held it to the employee’s neck, demanding oral sex while lowering his pants, the arrest report stated.
Fearing for her life, the victim complied with his demands.
However, when Gamble appeared to relax, the woman attempted to escape.
Police said that as she fled, Gamble slashed her neck with the box cutter.
The victim managed to lock herself in another room while screaming for help.
A second woman, hearing the victim’s cries, ran to assist but was intercepted by Gamble.
Authorities say he violently shoved her into a wall, punched her multiple times in the face, and bit her arm and ear.
The attack left her earlobe partially severed.
Gamble then fled the scene with the second victim’s cellphone.
Surveillance footage from the business captured Gamble entering and fleeing the premises.
A witness who recognized Gamble from the footage provided police with his nickname.
A relative of Gamble’s later confirmed his identity in the video.
On January 2nd, police apprehended Gamble, who denied all allegations during questioning.
He now faces charges of armed sexual battery, armed robbery, aggravated battery, and battery.
Gamble remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
He did not appear in Miami-Dade bond court on Wednesday, and his case is scheduled for further proceedings on Thursday.
This case highlights the pivotal role of community involvement and surveillance footage in aiding law enforcement to identify and capture suspects in violent crimes.
