Latin Grammys Celebrate 25th Anniversary With Miami Homecoming

Miami, FL - The 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will celebrate Latin music and artists with a star-studded event in Miami on Thursday.

The 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards is set to honor the genre’s excellence on Thursday, November 14th at Miami’s Kaseya Center.

The event, airing live on Univision and streaming on platforms like ViX, will celebrate the genre’s explosive growth, now recognized as the fastest-growing streaming genre in the United States.

This year’s ceremony is led by producer-songwriter Édgar Barrera, who is nominated for nine awards thanks to collaborations with stars like Karol G, Shakira, and Peso Pluma.

Reggaetón heavyweights Karol G and Bad Bunny follow closely with eight nominations each.

The star-studded lineup of performers includes DJ Khaled, Jon Bon Jovi, Anitta, Pitbull, and Juan Luis Guerra, alongside iconic Colombian singer Carlos Vives, this year’s Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year.

Two new categories will debut at this year's ceremony: Best Latin Electronic Music Performance and Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album.

Since its inception in 2000, the Latin Grammy Awards have grown from a U.S.-centric event to a celebration of Latin music’s vast international footprint.

Latin Recording Academy CEO Manuel Abud describes the awards as a “global celebration of musical excellence."

A key turning point for the awards was the decision to transition from English to Spanish-language broadcasts in 2005, a move that better connected with Latin audiences and artists alike.

The Latin Grammys are also expanding their global presence, with plans for more international editions after the success of last year’s show in Seville, Spain—the first held outside the U.S.
