Man Seriously Injured After Being Stabbed At Fort Lauderdale McDonald's

Fort Lauderdale, FL - A man was seriously injured after being stabbed by a security guard at a McDonald's restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at the McDonald's located at Broward Boulevard and Northwest First Street.

According to witnesses, a verbal altercation escalated into violence, resulting in the stabbing.

Witnesses told WSVN "I just saw the cops just taking a picture of a knife on the floor, so I think it was a stabbing,” said one man.

Others said they weren’t surprised, with one woman telling the news outlet “Oh my God. This is a wild west. Are you kidding me? A woman doesn’t want to walk out here after dark."

The victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and have detained a person of interest for questioning, but no charges have been filed at this time.

The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area, with witnesses describing the neighborhood as dangerous and lawless.
