FLORIDA - As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida as a category 4 storm, residents are encouraged to prepare for potential emergencies by assembling a Go-Kit for evacuation and a Stay-at-Home Kit with essential supplies.
The American Red Cross recommends creating two types of emergency kits: a Go-Kit for evacuation and a Stay-at-Home Kit for weathering the storm in place.
Go-Kit Essentials:

- Non-perishable food (3-day supply)
- Manual can opener
