Miami, FL - Florida International University (FIU) has achieved a significant milestone, ranking #46 among public universities in the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges 2025 rankings.
This marks the first time FIU has made the Top 50 list.
The university's overall ranking also improved, climbing 18 spots from last year among public universities and 26 spots overall to become one of the top 100 universities in the nation.
Other Florida schools on the list include the University of Florida at #7, Florida State University at #23, the University of South Florida at #45, and the University of Central Florida at #46.
The U.S. News and World Report rankings are based on 17 factors, including academic reputation, student selectivity, faculty resources, financial resources, and student outcomes.
