6 Injured After School Bus, Dump Truck Collision In Hialeah

Hialeah, FL - A serious crash involving a school bus and a dump truck left six people injured, including three children, on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of East First Avenue and 60th Street.

Three occupants of the dump truck sustained significant injuries and were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

Fifteen children and the bus driver were on board the bus at the time of the collision.

While all suffered minor injuries, three children were taken to Nicklaus Children's Hospital for further evaluation.

The crash caused significant damage to both vehicles and a nearby residential fence.

The Florida Highway Patrol is assisting local authorities in investigating the cause of the accident.

The school bus involved, operated by F. Couceiro School Bus Inc., is based in Hialeah and licensed by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

As of now, the circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation, and no fault has been determined.
