The first and possibly only presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump drew more viewers than Trump's June debate against President Joe Biden.

Initial numbers show at least 10-million more people watched the Trump-Harris contest than watched the Biden debacle.

Media analytics company Nielsen reports more than 67 million people watched the showdown on Tuesday across the four major networks and four cable news channels.

"Tuesday's ratings fell short of the record set in 2016, when roughly 84 million people watched Trump square off against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The first debate between Trump and Biden in 2020 drew 73.1 million people," according to Neilsen.

By comparison, just over 51 million tuned in for the June debate between Trump and President Biden.

And the debate between Harris and Trump was the most-watched TV broadcast of the last four years other than the four Super Bowls.
