Man Assaults Employee, Exposes Himself At Miami Beach Hotel And Beach Club

Miami Beach, FL - A man is facing assault and indecent exposure charges after the violent assault of an employee at a South Florida Hotel and Beach Club early Monday.

According to police, officers responded to reports of a guest attacking a hotel employee at the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club in Miami Beach shortly after midnight.

Investigators say the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Deibbys Cardoso Rodriguez, entered the hotel and demanded access to the staff-only computers.

Despite being denied, Rodriguez allegedly used the computers to access pornography.

When a female hotel employee approached Rodriguez, he allegedly struck her in the face multiple times.

The assault continued outside the hotel, where Rodriguez reportedly exposed himself and made threatening sexual comments towards the employee.

Responding officers located Rodriguez in the vicinity and took him into custody.

During a search of his possessions, officers located a small amount of suspected crack cocaine.

Police say Rodriguez reportedly refused to identify himself and declined to answer questions, invoking his right to remain silent.
