Dock Altercation Leads to Murder Charge For Florida Man

Ruskin, FL - A Ruskin man faces a second-degree murder charge after a violent encounter on a dock on May 25th.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to reports of a possible shooting near Bahia Beach Boulevard.

Upon arrival, deputies found no signs of gunfire, but a witness reported seeing someone fall into the water.

The HCSO Dive Team recovered a body from the water.

Investigators determined that 50-year-old Kamal Padlowski had been involved in an altercation with another man on a boat.

The victim left the vessel, and Padlowski followed him onto the dock.

According to investigators, Padlowski pushed the victim, causing him to fall and hit his head. Padlowski then allegedly pushed the victim into the water.

“This is a tragic incident,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is committed to securing justice and will continue its thorough investigation.”

Padlowski was arrested and remains in custody facing a second-degree murder charge.
