South Florida Man Arrested For Assaulting Mother During Wing Stop Dispute

Coral Springs, FL - A South Florida man has been arrested for assaulting his mother during an argument over "stank wings" last week.

According to a Coral Springs Police Department, a woman was picking up her son at a Wing Stop in Tamarac when an argument erupted over chicken.

The report details that 20-year-old Kevin Thompson allegedly gave his mother spoiled chicken and then demanded fresh food from another Wing Stop location.

When his mother asked why, Thompson reportedly said, “I want chicken. The chicken I gave you is stank.”

The argument escalated when Thompson reportedly slammed on the brakes of his car and challenged his mother to a fight.

The victim exited the vehicle, however, Thompson allegedly punched her in the face.

Fearing for her safety, the woman fled to a nearby Publix parking lot.

The report alleges that Thompson pursued her in his car, attempting to run her over twice.

Coral Springs Police responded to the scene and arrested Thompson on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (his car), domestic battery, and driving with a suspended license.
