FAU has a new head basketball coach after an early exit from March Madness, and now four players look to be leaving the team.

The Florida Atlantic University Owls made it to the Final Four of the men's NCAA tournament for the first time last year, but lost in the first round this year.

Soon after, head coach Dusty May announced he was leaving to coach Michigan and the school last week hired his replacement, John Jakus.

During his introduction speech, Jakus said he had met with many of the players.

"And I just asked them one thing: Give me a chance. Give me a chance. And the reality of the situation is, if you leave maybe you'll find something better. But I doubt it."

After that speech, Guard Nick Boyd and forward Giancarlo Rosado said they were entering the transfer portal, while center Vlad Goldin has declared for the NBA Draft.

A day later, Owls guard Johnell Davis said on social media that he is both declaring for the draft and entering the portal, while maintaining NCAA eligibility.
