Jeffries says anti-abortion extremism ignores science and constitutional rights. The ban takes effect May First, but the Florida Supreme Court is also allowing an abortion referendum on the November ballot. It asks voters to decide if abortion will be legal up until fetal viability. The referendum needs sixty percent to pass.
