West Palm Beach Non-Profit Benefits From Jersey Mike's "Month Of Giving"

A West Palm Beach non-profit is benefitting from customers of a national sub chain.

Jersey Mike's Subs is holding its annual "Month of Giving," where you can round up your purchase, or donate $1, $3 or $5 when you order.

Then next Wednesday is the "Day of Giving" when all proceeds from every order will go to the charity that's chosen for a specific region.

Quantum House is that benefactor in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.

CEO Greg Quattlebaum explains what his non-profit provides for families of children who travel to the area to be treated for a serious medical issue.

"Things like keeping the family unit together, a place to rest your head, warm meals, and what's very very important is the social inclusion. We provide them a home."

The hospitality house has tripled in size since it first opened in 2001.

And now we have 30 beautiful suites in a large compound just immediately west of St. Mary's Medical Center."

He tells us that $230,000 was raised through the local participating Jersey Mike's locations. The sub chain raised $21 million for more than 200 charities across the country last year.
