Man Files Lawsuit Against Combos Snacks Over 'Real Cheese' Claims

Fort Myers, FL - A Fort Myers man has filed a federal lawsuit against the parent company of Combos snacks, Mars, Inc., asserting deceptive marketing practices related to the snack's purported "real cheese" content.

Edward Pistorio, highlights the discrepancy between the product's marketing, featuring images of a large cheese block and labels like "Filling made with REAL CHEESE" and "Natural Flavors," and the less than 2% cheese blend listed in the ingredients.

The lawsuit contends that by substituting real cheese with palm oil and dairy product solids, Combos fails to deliver the expected quality, nutritional value, and savory attributes associated with products claiming "Filling Made with Real Cheese."

Pistorio's class action lawsuit seeks damages for alleged deceptive marketing, asserting that the misleading labeling contributed to the product's "premium" $2.59 price, thus harming consumers.

As of now, there has been no response from Mars, Inc. to the request for comment.
