Lake County, FL - A Florida woman has been arrested for sending menacing text messages demanding sexual relations with her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend.
Authorities say 38-year-old Cynthia Ann Ray was arrested on charges of aggravated stalking and issuing written threats to harm the man and his new girlfriend.
The incident came to light when deputies responded to a reported case of "criminal mischief" at an address in Groveland.
Upon arrival, the victim, Ray's ex-boyfriend, informed deputies about ongoing confrontations with Ray.
He recounted a previous incident where Ray allegedly vandalized his new girlfriend's pickup truck tires.
Despite replacements, Ray purportedly returned to puncture the same tires once again.
While speaking with police, the victim showcased a barrage of text messages from Ray to the deputies.
According to her arrest affidavit, "He displayed the messages, indicating he hadn't responded, yet the frequency was alarming."
Since their breakup in early November, the victim reported receiving an overwhelming number of messages from Ray, coupled with her uninvited visits to his residence.
Of particular concern was a specific text wherein Ray purportedly demanded sexual relations with both the victim and his current girlfriend, threatening harm if they declined.
When deputies located Ray, she claimed to have remained home following her Christmas celebrations with family.
However, her vehicle's engine was notably warm upon inspection, and a knife was discovered inside.
Ray was arrested and is presently held at the Lake County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
