U.S. airlines are prepared for a busy holiday season.
And the next 17 days will be hectic at local airports including Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International with over 2 million travelers expected.
The FAA says today will likely be the busiest travel day of the week, and busier than this time last year, when thousands of flights were halted by stormy weather.
The trade group Airlines for America expects more than 39-million people will fly over the holidays.
