Several events in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast have been canceled due to the weather, with more wind and rain expected on Saturday.
Holiday boat parades that were scheduled for Saturday night in Boca Raton, Stuart and Vero Beach are among the cancelations. The Martin County parade has been rescheduled to next Saturday, no plans to reschedule Indian River County's parade and Boca says their parade will not be rescheduled.
The West Palm Beach Greenmarket is canceled, but will be on next Saturday. Also, the outdoor activities at West Palm's Sandi Tree are canceled Friday and Saturday.
A boat parade that runs from Pompano Beach to Deerfield Beach has been moved to Thursday, December 21st.
The Lake Worth Beach Pier is closed until further notice due to windy conditions.
In Delray Beach, "Dirty Dancing Live" at Old School Square on Friday night has been postponed, and organizers are hoping to reschedule.
Holiday Lights at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is canceled through Sunday, and the Polar Express in the Park in Stuart is also canceled on Saturday.
Meanwhile, public beaches in Indian River County will be closed to swimmers Friday and Saturday.
