Miguel Bravo tells police that a female postal employee made inappropriate comments to a Spanish speaking older customer, and when he stepped in to get management to do something, things escalated.
Shintell Ford, the clerk at the post office at 425 Northwest 27th Avenue, was arrested Saturday on a charge of robbery by sudden snatching. Bravo says words were exchanged and he started to record the incident on his cellphone, when Ford reached to grab his phone. He claims she tried to break it.
After posting a $5,000 bond, Ford was released from the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department.
The USPS has yet to release a statement about Ford’s arrest and whether her employment will be terminated.
