Lakeland, FL - A substitute teacher at a Polk County charter school was arrested last month after allegedly sending sexually explicit videos of himself to two teenage students via Snapchat.
Police say 33-year-old Jerron Dunn faces charges of sex offense on a student by an authority figure and transmission of material harmful to a minor.
An investigation into Dunn began when two female students, ages 17 and 18, reported to their guidance counselor that Dunn had sent them inappropriate videos.
The 17-year-old victim claimed that Dunn added himself to her Snapchat account while she was using his phone charger.
He then allegedly messaged her, asking her to visit him at his house.
Upon the student's refusal, Dunn allegedly sent her an explicit video.
The 18-year-old victim accepted Dunn's friend request on the app. He began messaging her, calling her "pretty" and expressing his desire for a relationship.
When the student rejected his advances, Dunn also sent her multiple sexually explicit videos.
Dunn confessed to communicating with both victims through Snapchat and admitted to making inappropriate requests to the 18-year-old.
Further charges are pending a forensic analysis of Dunn's phone.
During a press conference on December 7th, Sheriff Grady Judd announced that two more alleged victims had come forward in Dunn's case.
A 20-year-old former student of Dunn came forward, claiming they had engaged in sexual activity with him.
Additionally, an 18-year-old alleged that Dunn showed them inappropriate videos while inside a classroom.
These reports resulted in Dunn's re-arrest.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd confirmed that Dunn bonded out after both the initial and subsequent arrests.
Sheriff Judd urged anyone with information regarding similar acts by Dunn to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
