Brightline says it's next step will be to build a train station along the Treasure Coast and recently requested proposals from Martin and St. Lucie counties.
The City of Stuart on Monday took the next step to begin planning and designing a proposed new Brightline station. It approved a joint response with Martin County to approve the proposal.
The joint application will be signed on December 11th, while Brightline proposal submissions are due by December 22nd. It's likely that the new station will be either in Stuart or Fort Pierce.
This while Tampa Mayor Jane Castor has made it clear that she wants a Brightline station in her city as well.
