Today Marks 2nd Anniversary Of Historic Cuban Protests

Today marks the two-year anniversary of one of Cuba's biggest anti-government protests in more than fifty years. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz says thousands of Cubans showed be hailed as heroes for risking their lives to speak out against economic conditions, food scarcity and vaccine shortages. To mark this anniversary, a portion of West Eighth Avenue in Hialeah has been renamed "Patria Y Vida". The moniker means "Homeland and Life" and it's in dedication to all who are fighting for Democracy and freedom.
