Suspected Serial Attacker Arrested in Eustis Following String of Attacks

Eustis, FL - The Eustis Police Department arrested a suspect who allegedly groped a woman and is linked to a series of attacks in the area.

Police say the suspect, identified as Jephson Seguin, is facing multiple charges related to at least three assaults on women since April.

Authorities responded to a call on Tuesday reporting an attack along Morningview Drive in Eustis.

Investigators say Seguin approached a woman from behind while she was walking, groped her, and forcefully threw her to the ground.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers identified Seguin hiding behind the dashboard of a pickup truck.

As they instructed him to exit the vehicle, Seguin accelerated, driving the truck toward one of the officers.

In response, the officer discharged their firearm, resulting in Seguin sustaining a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Eustis Police Captain Jon Fanhing disclosed that Seguin is the same suspect believed to have sexually assaulted a woman while she was jogging at the intersection of Country Club Road and Club Hills Drive in April.

Additionally, Seguin is linked to another attack on May 1st.

Seguin is facing charges of lewd and lascivious molestation, stalking, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, and reckless driving.

Authorities have requested that Seguin be held without bond as the investigation continues.
