Alberta, Canada - Authorities have arrested a man from Alberta, Canada, who is accused of sending death threats to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood due to Sheriff Chitwood's ongoing efforts against hate groups.

The suspect, identified as Tony Stromberg, was arrested on Sunday by the Calgary Police Service and will face charges in Canada.

Stromberg will not be extradited to Volusia County.

Authorities say Stromberg made multiple threats through Twitter, email, and phone calls, targeting the sheriff and his family with threats of murder.

In his emails, Stromberg used the alias "Condor Calabasas."

The sheriff's office says that Stromberg expressed frustration in a March email, stating that he had made a more credible threat but that law enforcement, including the police and FBI, had not taken action by arriving at his residence.

Stromberg's arrest marks the fourth individual who's been apprehended and accused of making threats against Sheriff Chitwood.

The sheriff has been actively combating hate groups and hate speech in the community and online.

In March, one suspect was extradited from New Jersey to Volusia County.

Another arrest took place in California, and a third individual was apprehended in Connecticut in April.
