Acts of Kindness Turns Violent After Uber Driver Is Attacked

Miami, FL - An Uber Eats delivery driver was violently beaten after turning in a lost cell phone that he found at a South Florida mall.

The incident occured when the victim found an unattended cell phone while charging his own device in a common area of Miami's upscale Brickell City Centre.

The man promptly turned the phone over to the mall's lost and found.

However, the next day, he was approached by 27-year-old Amed Youssef Bamba, who accused him of stealing the phone and attacked him.

Surveillance footage captured Bamba punching and kicking the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim told police Bamba grabbed his arm and demanded that he take him to security to retrieve the alleged stolen phone.

Complying with Bamba's demands, they went to the security office, where the phone was handed over to him before Bamba fled the scene.

Following the assault, the victim contacted police to report the incident.

City of Miami Police arrested Bamba when he returned to the scene the following day.

Bamba is facing a battery charge and is currently held in jail, with his bond set at $1,500.
