Man Attempts Trailer Break-In, Claims to Be Searching for 'Captive Girls'

DeBary, FL - A man has been arrested after attempting to break into a trailer while claiming to be looking for "captive girls."

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Bleichner has been arrested after attempting to break into a trailer while claiming to be looking for "captive girls."

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when deputies responded to a call about an attempted break-in at a trailer parked in the driveway of a DeBary residence.

According to the victim, Bleichner was seen behind the trailer and claimed he was looking for his cat before leaving the scene.

However, Bleichner returned later in a car with a chain and tried to attach it to the trailer.

The victim armed themselves with a knife and confronted Bleichner, who claimed he was searching for girls being held captive in the trailer.

Bleichner then grabbed a machete from his car and chased the victim around the yard.

Eventually, Bleichner gave up the chase and went back to the trailer, attempting to open the door with the machete.

When unsuccessful, he hooked one end of the chain to the trailer door and the other end to his car. He then drove his car away, pulling the door off the trailer and leaving the scene.

A witness reported seeing Bleichner park his car near his home on Jasmine Drive.

Deputies later found him still sitting in the driver's seat, wearing only underwear, and appearing to be under the influence of narcotics.

Bleichner was charged with armed burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, resisting an officer without violence, and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He is currently being held without bond.
